Bellevue Middle School "Quick Facts"

• We are the #1 academic middle school out of the 33 zoned middle schools in the district.
• High school credit classes for the 2007-08 school year had the following successes: Spanish had 100% pass rate; Physical Science had 100% pass rate; Geometry had 100% pass rate; and Algebra had 94% pass rate.
  
• We provide an accredited International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
• Our BMS Honors Band is the only middle school band in Tennessee to be invited to the Dixie Classic Grand National Middle School Band Competition in 2008.
• Our Introduction to Strings program allows students to learn violin, viola, cello and double bass.
• We have a rich history of performances by our drama students, including Seussical the Musical in 2008.
• We are a Technology Demonstration Site for Metro Nashville Public Schools with five computer labs, sound-enhancement systems, LCD  projectors, electronic chalkboards and more.
• Our Library Media Center is newly renovated. Students can visit the library to read for pleasure or research, or they can develop and deliver presentations utilizing a 30 lab computer, a built-in audio system, LCD projector, electronic chalkboard, and digital photography equipment.

• The 2008 class valedictorian of Hillwood High School was a former BMS student.
