The Bellevue Middle School belief statements were developed in collaboration with the PTO, community representatives, administration, faculty, students, and support personnel. Representatives from each of these groups reviewed the school’s current beliefs, mission, and vision. They brainstormed alternative statements. The group researched other schools’ statements for comparisons and ideas. When the representative group had presented the revised statements to the stakeholders, they were accepted by consensus of all groups.
Bellevue Middle School Beliefs
Student needs are our first priority.
Everyone in the community shares responsibility for creating an environment for lifelong learning.
All students can learn and be successful.
Instruction is driven by district, state, and national standards, with students being assessed for mastery of those required standards each six weeks.
Instruction should be based on the belief that high expectations generate high success.
Diversity is recognized as a strength and a valuable resource in the organization.
All individuals in our community are treated with dignity and respect.
These beliefs drive the decision-making process as Bellevue Middle School develops policies for academics, attendance, discipline, extra-curricular activities, and parental involvement.
