School Resource Officer, Butch Davis Officer Davis is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. Officer Davis has worked for the Metropolitan Police Department since 1987. All of his life he has had a strong passion for animals. Before joining the police department Officer Davis was a rodeo horse trainer and cobbler. In addition, before becoming a school resource officer he was an apprehension dog trainer for 12 years. Officer Davis enjoys working with youth and being a positive role model where he instructs D.A.R.E (Drug Awareness Resistance Education) and G.R.E.A.T (Gang Resistance Education and Training) at Bellevue Middle School. In his spare time Officer Davis enjoys spending time with his family and riding motocross through the woods.
